The Parthenon temple on the Athens Acropolis and the island of Santorini have been included in the Smithsonian magazine's 'bucket list' of 43 "places to see before you die". 

 

Detailed descriptions of both destinations are posted on the Smithsonian's website, along side those for the temples of Angkor Wat, the Pyramids of Giza, Ephesus, the Galapagos islands and another few dozens destinations that every traveller should visit at least once. (AMNA)
