A new earth tremor measuring 4.9 points on the Richter scale occurred at 12:50 on Saturday between Crete and Santorini, from the same epicentre as the previous tremors, and was felt on the island of Crete once again and in the city of Iraklio in particular. No damage has been reported.
The earthquake, according to the Geodynamic Institute of the Athens National Observatory and the Thessaloniki Aristotelio University's Geophysics Laboratory, occurred at a distance of 240 kilometres south-southwest of Athens, while its epicentre is located in the sea region 50 kilometres southwest of Santorini.
