To mark six decades of the Athens News, we asked our most valuable asset - the readers - to let us know what the newspaper means to them. A great number of former and current readers, who follow either the print edition or the internet version, or both, responded.

As a couple of readers explain, the Athens News - or, more precisely, its classifieds section - actually changed the course of people’s lives. Other readers describe the paper as a lifeline that allows them to understand a country which would otherwise be out of bounds due to the language barrier.
